Check Your Roster/Totals!

Posted by bryonhough on October 5, 2010

Here is the list of clubs sorted alphabetically. Please download the pdf and check your amount due. There are 3 amounts in yellow at the bottom and to the right of each club.

Click to download list…

The column on the left is the amount you have paid.
The column in the middle is what your camp total should be.
The column on the right is the amount you owe or are (due).

Please bring a check for the amount of the middle column if you have a balance due or a credit. If you have a zero balance you are all set. We will return to you the other checks you have sent after we receive new payment. If you do not have your payment you will not be allowed to participate. We also will hold all other payments until the new ones are received.

Your total is as of this morning (10/5/10). If it is incorrect, please check with me. You will still be responsible for having the new  payment at the camp. Please come prepared.

If your club did not get anyone in the camp, your payment will be destroyed via shredder by 10/11/10 unless I hear otherwise from you.

There are some incomplete USAG #’s as well. It would work to your advantage to print off your club roster online to bring as verification if needed. You should also have your club id# as well in case we need to look it up.

We are looking forward to  great camp!

Updated Names/Schedule 9/23

Posted by bryonhough on September 14, 2010

Hello everyone!

Thanks you to all of you who have updated your information and priority level for your kids. We were able to get a few more in the camps! I fixed the priority levels for kids that I had marked wrong to move them up. I also marked the kids that are scratching in red. In order to be fair we accepted a few more than we would like so we will need some additional scratches to fit more in. I will prioritize the wait list later this week so you know who is next in line.

I will be posting the schedule, groups, rotations, clinician assignments and miscellaneous information by end of day Wednesday. Click on the page tabs for each camp for the direct info. Thanks again for your patience and help!

Here are the links to the updated lists of names:

Accepted St. Louis Names 9/23/2010

Accepted Minneapolis Names 9/13/2010

I will update amounts due by Wednesday as well. I also am requesting that all of the missing information on the spreadsheet is sent to me by Friday for St. Louis and by Friday September 23rd for the Minneapolis camp. Please send it to me digitally (preferably in excel or word but email will work.) I don’t want faxes or mailed copies. It takes too much time to enter the data that way.

We will be ordering the t-shirts this week. We had some people select sizes that we will not be ordering so we went up one size.

We hope you have a great training camp experience! Feel free to contact me with questions.

Here are the registrants….

Posted by bryonhough on September 5, 2010

First off, I’d like to thank you all for your patience. There was a lot of interest in the camps this year! There were some clerical/communication problems with the southern camp which contributed to a delay in getting the info together. We will be streamlining the process next year to take away the antiquated way of filling out entries and mailing checks. We will be going to online registration with credit card billing after the entries have been accepted.

We have had to turn away over 120 athletes. This is not something we enjoy doing however it is necessary to provide a quality camp. All of the priority one and two kids did get in. The St. Louis camp turned away all priority 5 kids and some priority 4 athletes. The Minneapolis camp turned away all priority 4& 5 kids and some priority 3 athletes. The majority of priority 3 athletes turned away were level 8′s and level 9/10′s that may have been out for a year etc.

Please understand that the training camps are primarily for the level 9/10 athletes. We have included athletes at lower levels in the past to fill when they were light. We strongly encourage coaches who have athletes turned away to attend the camps. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from some of the regions top coaches and watch some of the best athletes train.

I have posted all the athletes accepted for the training camps below. They are pdf files that you need to download. Please make sure you have proofed the names on the list.

The names were selected using the information you provided on your entries based on the selection criteria set by the Region 4 Committee and as posted on this website and as distributed by your SC’s. If no information was provided the athlete was assigned a priority based on our best guess. The information you provide is a valuable tool for assigning priorities to athletes. It is also assumed all coaches are providing truthful and accurate information. We will be doing some audits of entries to verify that the information is correct. If you provided inaccurate information with the purpose of giving your athlete a higher priority, you and your club maybe removed from participation in this and future camps.  When there was a tie situation (for example if we only had room for a few kids at a certain priority level but multiple applicants the ties were broken in using all or some of these factors….

1. Host Gyms
2. Competition level in 2010 (Level 10′s got 1st priority, Level 9′s second etc…..)
3. Clubs bidding on training camps
4. Complete entry forms. If b-days, USAG #’s or other information was not on the entry I went to kids at a same priority that had complete entries.
5. Payment in hand
6. Date entry received

When we group the kids we will group them according to the level they are training. If there was more than one listed, we will group them with similar kids.

St. Louis Accepted Athlete List

Minneapolis Accepted Athlete List

Only the athletes that have registered to this point will be added to the camps if spots open up. The registration is closed to athletes for both camps. I accepted entries for an additional 7 days to allow for the Missouri people to enter. All kids that are crossed off on your clubs entry are already on the wait list. No need to notify me unless you want to withdraw their name from consideration. If you wish to withdraw your entire club if not all of your athletes were accepted please notify me by September 10th. Failure to do so will result in your athletes being entered and payment being due.

No Checks have been cashed or deposited as of today. We will be adjusting the amount due per club and then asking for payment or depositing the payment we have received. If you have over paid you will either be refunded or checks mailed back depending on the amount, whether you paid with one check or multiples and/or if you still have other athletes attending.

Please let me know of any scratches by Friday September 10th. We will be accepting waiting list participants after that date. Wait list participants will be notified by Tuesday, September 14th.

Please keep tuned to this website and your emails for further updates. The clinicians are also posted on the specific pages for each camp.

Contact me with questions. I will return emails and phone calls as soon as I can. I apologize for any delay that may occur. We look forward to the camps and hope they are as successful as last years! Thanks for your dedication to your athletes and profession.

Coming soon..Sorry for the delay!

Posted by bryonhough on August 31, 2010

Due to the extremely high demand for the training camps there will be a delay in posting the accepted participants on the website. Please check back by Monday, September 6th for information.
I realize this is late for the St. Louis camp but because so many entries were received at the deadline we need time to sort.

There is no limit to coach/judge entries.

The good news is all registration and payment will be done online next year so we will not have to type and hand sort all the entries. Thanks for your patience!

Camps Filling Up!

Posted by bryonhough on August 24, 2010

Minneapolis Camp is Full!

We will be able to accept all priority 1 & 2 kids through the 28th as stated. I will then start with priority 3 and work my way down, I will post the athletes in the camps on the website. If your team does not get the whole delegation in and you want to pull out, you will have a deadline for a refund. If you pull out after that date, you will lose all entries you have paid. There will be a waiting list started based on date entries were received. That will be posted as well. If you decline the wait list please notify me after it is posted. We currently look to have 70+ kids on the MSP waitlist.

The St. Louis camp is nearly full.

I will have the final numbers on that one by Sunday night. The same procedures will be followed in St. Louis.

2010 Training Camp Dates Are Set!

Posted by bryonhough on August 4, 2009

Region 4 will now be hosting two optional training camps this fall. These will be in a very similar format to last years camps that were very successful and filled early!

One will be in the northern area of the region and one will be in the southern area. The southern camp will be held September 24th through 26th. The northern camp will be held October 8th through 10th. Bids are now being accepted. Click here to download the bid form.  Send bid forms to:

Bryon Hough
RJOCC Region 4
c/o TAGS South
5880 149th Street West
Apple Valley, MN 55124

The camp format will be similar to the old “High Performance” camp. We will be bringing in paid clinicians from outside and within the region. We will assign a master clinician to each event and coaches will rotate with their athletes to the stations. We do expect that coaches work with the plan established at the event by the master staff and are willing to aid the clinician in the implementation of the plan for that event. (Spotting the stations, running the kids through the reps etc.) You could get assigned to a station at that event but will rotate to the next event with your athletes. We will be having a coaches/clinicians round table and social event Saturday night. We will try to provide and activity for the athletes as well.

Qualification and entry information is on the qualifying page. Visit that to stay up to date on the current procedures to attend the training camps.

Please contact Bryon Hough with questions.
